in Amerika is de aanloop naar de Golden Globes en uiteraard de Oscars tijdens deze eindejaarsperiode aangebroken. haast iedere zich respecterende staat deelt awards uit aan films die zo in de publiciteitsbuzz terecht komen. na Austin bekijken we Boston waar naast de Boston Online Film Critics Association eveneens de Boston Society Of Film Critics (http://www.bostonfilmcritics.org/) hun awards uitdeelden. geen Snowpiercer daar te bespeuren, wel Boyhood als beste film. samen met Birdman (aan de haal met vier awards) was de film van Richard Linklater (o.a. beste regisseur) de overwinnaar van deze prijsuitreiking terwijl gelijklopend wel Marion Cotillard als beste actrice uit de bus kwam. een overzicht:
